Borgoe Grand Reserve 8

Borgoe 8 var prov 19 i 24 Rums 2018 – och representer Surinam. Surinam är ett rom-land som borde kunna ha potential – då det ligger granne med Guyana. (Surinam har tidigare även kallats för “Holländska Guyana”.)

Vi har faktiskt provat Borgoe 8 tidigare – i maj 2015. Så det ska bli spännande att se hur vi och Borgoe 8 har utvecklats. Den har fått en helt ny flaska, så chansen finns att innehållet är lite uppdaterat också.

Borgoe 8 är överraskande mörk i färgen, som inte matchar den ganska stillsamma aromen. Aromen behöver lite tid att vakna till liv, så vi skulle rekommendera att du låter den vila längre än vanligt.

Smaken är sen kryddig och ren, men den kanske är lite tråkig?

Vi står på oss från vår förra betygsättning. 70 av 100 känns rätt fortfarande. Borgoe 8 är en helt okej rom, som borde kunna ha potential till att bli bättre. Här kommer den relevanta informationen från vår förra provning:

”Att Surinam är grannland till Guyana höjde förväntningarna lite, men då vi inte hört något alls om Surinam-rom innan så misstänkte vi att det skulle röra sig om en inhemskt-lite-finlagrad-rom-som-går-på-export.

Sammanfattat då? Borgoe Grand Reserve 8 är en spännande rom, med ett udda ursprung (med svenska mått i alla fall). Den var bättre än vad vi trodde, plus att den var spännande. En bra rom från Surinam helt enkelt.”
